I just came across interesting behavior in 2008R2 AD Recycle Bin. I didn’t have 2012 AD test environment handy but I think it would behave in similar fashion. Basically there is no AD conflict check performed during an object restore so you may end up with duplicate “samaccountnames” or duplicate Primary SMTP addresses in your AD. I personally consider this a bug and will see if I can submit it to Microsoft.
